Tay Roc All-Time Record

So I’ve been tracking this via a spreadsheet but hopefully this translates well here. Here’s MY OPINION so far from the battles I’ve tracked so far. vs Charlie Clips (1) - 2008: Round 1: Clips - Clear Round 2: Clips - Clear Round 3: Clips - Clear Result: Winner is Charlie Clips 3-0 Body Bag vs Shotgun Suge - 7/28/2010: Round 1: Tay Roc - Edge Round 2: Suge - Clear Round 3: Roc - Clear Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Highly Debateable vs K Shine - 12/18/2010 Round 1: Tay Roc - Edge Round 2: Tay Roc - Edge Round 3: K Shine - Edge Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Highly Debateable vs PG Skillet - 2/14/2011 Round 1: Skillet - CLEAR Round 2: Tay Roc - Clear Round 3: Tay Roc - Clear Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Clear Win vs Young Kannon - 3/2/2011 Round 1: Tay Roc - Edge Round 2: Tay Roc - Edge Round 3: Kannon - Edge Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Edged Win Dates and order may obviously differ but Jesus going in order of the battles Rap Verdict has provided I have Tay Roc’s first five battles at a record of 4-1. Obvious the battles with the HIGHLY DEBATEABLE distinction I can see the perspective of someone viewing the opposition of that battle as the winner so he could be 2-3 (REALLY 1-4 depending on how you view the PG Skillet choke), but I’m pretty firm on my stances with the Edged Wins and Clear Wins. Look forward to continuing to update this list.

2nd update I have something to share that I feel is very important about myself… I’ve never really been the biggest fan of Tay Roc or his style personally. A lot of that may from from my entry to battle rap being 2012ish, a time I personally remember Roc was was the face at the time being a major beneficiary of “The Gas Station”. I simply wasn’t a fan of him not his style so I just think that should be reflect as I view his battle moving forward. This next set of battles is generally before that era where Roc is a young underdog non frustrate area rapper that’s hungry to prove himself. vs O Red Round 1: O Red - Clear Round 2: Tay Roc - Edge Round 3: Tay Roc - Clear Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Edged Win vs Qleen Paper Round 1: Qleen Paper - Clear Round 2: Tay Roc - Edge Round 3: Tay Roc - Clear Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Clear Win vs Rich Dollaz Round 1: Tay Roc - Clear Round 2: Tay Roc - Clear Round 3: Rich Dollaz - Edge Result: Winner Tay Roc 2-1 Clear Win vs Cortez Round 1: Tay Roc - Clear Round 2: Cortez - Edge Round 3: Cortez - Clear Result: Winner Cortez 2-1 Edged Win vs Rolla Round 1: Rolla - Edge Round 2: Tay Roc - Clear Round 3: Tay Roc - Clear Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Clear Win With this update the tracking stats come out as currently for me personally: Tay Roc All Time Record: -Win/Debateable/Loss Record: 7/2/2 BODY - 0 Clear Wins - 4 Edged Wins - 3 High Debateables - 2 Edged Losses - 1 Clear Lossess - 0 BODDIED - 1

For a long time I’ve felt that Battle Rap shares similarities to many sports, but the sport that I find reflect a lot of the intricacies of battle is Professional Wrestling. If we analyzed minuscule details between performance, crowd appeal, promotion, etc… the individual that Tay Roc is most similar too is John Cena. His career trajectory reflect the rise of Cena as well. Tay Roc became the face of prominent battle rap league, The Franchise, during a time that many of the biggest stars left for opportunities with other promotions and even outside the industry just like Cena. I’d even say both were the faces of the industry during their darkest periods in many areas. While both Roc and Cena may not be my preference in battle rappers and professional wrestlers I can acknowledge and appreciate a lot of qualities about them accompanied with consistency that was brought simply from their presense in their respective fields. This upcoming stretch of battles I’ve viewed Roc has entered his era where he is officially top tier and the face which results in him going against a lot of the battle rappers he was chasing to catch up with. In a lot of ways he holds his own but he definitely gets caught slipping for me simply off of the discrepancy in style and level writing. This post is gonna exceed character limit soooo catch the next post

We have now entered the era in which Roc is The Main Event, the guy, the face that runs the place, but with that title comes the weight of getting everyone’s best. As I have said before I have never been a huge fan of Roc’s style as it personally isn’t my preference. There are only so many ways you can gun bar em to death. This is a stretch where I find taking his most losses, a lot of great battles and content but his weaknesses were prevalent. vs Rum Nitty - NOME 6 (2-1-1) Round 1: Rum Nitty - Edge Round 2: Rum Nitty - Edge Round 3: Tay Roc - Clear Result: Winner is RUM I GUESS 2-1 Highly Debateable vs Charron Round 1: Charron - Clear Round 2: Tay Roc - Edge Round 3: Charron - Clear Result: Winner is Charron 2-1 Clear Win vs Chess - NOME 7 (3-1-1) Round 1: Chess - Clear Round 2: Tay Roc - Edge Round 3: Tay Roc - Edge Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Clear Win vs Hollow Da Don -Summer Maddness 6 (2-1-1) Round 1: Hollow Da Don - Edge Round 2: Tay Roc - Clear Round 3: Hollow Da Don - Clear Result: Winner is Hollow Da Don 2-1 Highly Debateable vs Dizaster Round 1: Dizaster - Clear Round 2: Tay Roc - Clear Round 3: Tay Roc - Clear Result: Winner is Tay Roc 2-1 Clear Win vs Goodz - NOME 8 (3-2-1) Round 1: Tay Roc - Clear Round 2: Goodz - Clear Round 3: Goodz - Edge Result: Winner is Goodz 2-1 Highly Debateable vs Hitman Holla - Summer Maddness 7 (2-1-2) Round 1: Himan Holla - Clear Round 2: Hitman Holla - Clear Round 3: Tay Roc - Edge Result: Winner is Hitman Holla 2-1 Clear Win vs Pat Stay - Summer Maddness 8 (2-1-3) Round 1: Tay Roc - Clear Round 2: Pat Stay - Clear Round 3: Pat Stay - Edge Result: Winner is Pat Stay 2-1 Edged Win -Win/Debateable/Loss Record: 14/9/7 SM Record: 2-1-3 NOME Record: 3-2-1 BODY - 1 Clear Wins - 10 Edged Wins - 3 High Debateables - 9 Edged Losses - 2 Clear Lossess - 4 BODDIED - 1
